I went XC skiing for the first "real" time last year in Yosemite and I LOVED it!!!!! I'd love to go again. I also snowboard, but I love the rush of cardio from a good day of XC skiing. I don't want to drive either, but if you have a group going, I'd love to XC skii with you. Where are the closest places for XC skiing in the area? (I live in Salinas.) ~joy

I try to ... every weekend. Either with MeetUp, BayAreaHiking, BAOC, or lead my own trip.
What about you? Have you been hiking with Meetup groups?

It is true that on all the hikes I've done the number of Russian speaking people can be counted with two hands.
