Photoshoot with a professional Jazz Musician
He needs some new and innovative photos and you can use them for your portfolio. He is will ing to come out from Detroit for this to get some shots in the Bay Area. Since he is a pianist I was thinking of some place with a grand piano.. ... Read morepossibly the DeAnza Hotel's Headly room with great art deco architecture as well as a day trip to San Francisco...He will be out here for 3-4 days so I am trying to come up with some innovative ideas and places.

Weddings, engagements
I know there have been some very recent workshops on Engagement and wedding shooting, but may I request a repeat of the same, please? That is one aspect of my photography that needs a lot of education :-)

Doing a monthly meetup get together + showcase work / critique
I'm thinking of doing a monthly meetup, something that will be at the same time and place every month. the purpose will be to get together, meet and network, showcase our work to each other, and maybe even do some critique.
Let' ... Read mores start a discussion about this on the forum, I'de love to hear location ideas, time ideas, and so on.
I'm thinking something like every last Thursday of the month somewhere in Burlingame (kind of in the middle) Let me know your thoughts.
I'll start a discussion, hope to hear from you guys.

Time lapse shoot
Wanted to see how many of you are interested in learning/trying out time lapse photography. Maybe in a spot with enough dynamics and change, like the GG bridge from the mountains nearby or maybe Vasona Park in south Bay, Los Gatos? Open to ... Read more other potential locations too. Maybe if we start around 3pm we can go past sunset and shoot until 6pm.

Adding on the the "Jazz Musician" idea
If you go through the work of aquiring the site, how about adding a model dressed like a 40's torch singer for something even better.
Also there is a studio in sunnyvale that has a grand piano.

Model Shoot
I did a seminar in San Francisco June 27th and we had a great studio next to Calumet. We had three different models under three different 4 light setups. we set up our cameras to control each individual light at each group and it was an ... Read morefantastic learning experience. We also shot outside with high speed sync.
It would be fantastic if we could do something like this. I will post some shots at francisephotography.com , look under Canon shoot and these are the results. It would be great if we could do something like that right here. the models were from modelmayham and they were great also. What do you think?

Moss Landing Kayak Trip
The Slough is very easy to navigate, even for beginners! There's lots of sea lions, pelican's and marine life, along with sailboats to photograph.
