Basic DSLR Camera Operations

Hi all,

Do you have a DSLR camera and you are using the "Auto" mode?
Do you want to learn more about your camera, and what it can do?
Do you have any basic questions about photography?

If you answered YES to any of the questions above - This is the class for YOU!

I will teach you everything you need to know about your DSLR camera.

I will go over the following:
AV mode, TV mode, Manual mode, ISO, White balance, Histogram, basic photography terms: Aperture, Shutter speed, composition, Exposure, External flash operation.

Sort of a repeat of another earlier class I missed.

Larisa, This class will be for basic, although some of the content I'll teach can be considered "medium" but I have to tell you, it's designed for those who need the basic knowledge of photography and camera operations. so if you know the following things: AV mode, TV mode, Manual mode, ISO, White balance, Histogram, basic photography terms: Aperture, Shutter speed, composition, Exposure, External flash operation.
This class is probably not for you.

It was awesome! Last minute people came, and we learned a lot of the basic operations. I covered everything I wanted with few extras.

Mike obviously knows his DSLR cameras. The meeting was good, but with the following caveats: 1) There were too many people in attendance. A better meeting would have been maybe four or five; 2) The meeting was too long at three hours. I felt extreme information overload after about 90 minutes. I now know that I've got to read some books on my camera before taking a "live" seminar or class; 3) Given that Mike uses Canon equipment and half of the attendees had Canons, the meeting was too "Canon-centric" for me. There are too many subtle differences between the Nikons and Canons to work out in a large group. Thank you.
